Whats in the bin?

- Sphagnum moss, Garden Limestone (raises pH), Bark Chips, FoxFarm Happy Frog soil, and Charcoal make up the substrate. (3-4" deep)

- Oak leaf litter, Sphagnum sections, and Cork pieces provide the cover on top.

Breeding frequency:

- The Cristarmadillidium Muricatum is a dwarf species of spikey isopod (6-8mm for mature adult) that is relatively knew to the hobby. They are relatively easy to keep and are known to be more prolific compared to other spikeys. Expect long acclimation anywhere between 3-4 months before you see mancae. Be EXTRA careful when placing food and new botanicals so you do not squish them and their tiny mancae! Pick a spot in the bin to feed, and only drop food in that specific spot to avoid accidental deaths. Once established, breeding occurs a few times a month. Expect 1 month for growout from mancae to adult.

Temp & Humidity:

-73-77 F
